A Stunning Summer Setting in Somerset
There’s something special about summer weddings in the countryside, and this celebration at Brympton House was no exception. Tucked away in the rolling Somerset landscape, the venue provided a breathtaking backdrop for a day full of elegance, laughter, and incredible music. From the moment we arrived at the stables for setup, the atmosphere was already buzzing with anticipation. Guests were beginning to gather, drinks in hand, ready for an evening that promised great food, great company, and—most importantly—great music.
As a Wedding band Bristol couples regularly trust for high-energy celebrations, we knew this would be a night to remember. The team on-site ensured everything ran smoothly, and it was a pleasure working alongside such an organised group of suppliers who helped bring the couple’s vision to life.
Setting the Tone with Soul and Sax
Earlier in the day, guests enjoyed a relaxed drinks reception in the Salon, accompanied by the smooth sounds of live saxophone. It created the perfect bridge between the formalities of the ceremony and the energy of the evening to come. By the time we took over later, the mood had shifted from laid-back to ready-to-party.
We kicked things off with a carefully curated playlist while guests filtered into the evening space, building anticipation before the dancefloor officially opened. As one of the Bristol bands for hire that specialises in soul and funk, we always aim to read the room—and this crowd was more than ready.
A First Dance to Remember
The highlight of the evening arrived with the first dance. The couple chose Come and Get Your Love by Redbone, and we performed it live, staying true to the original groove they’d been practising to. You can listen to the track here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bc0KhhjJP98
From the very first note, it was clear this moment meant a lot. Guests gathered closely, the dancefloor filled with smiles, and as the song built, so did the energy in the room. By the end, the crowd erupted into applause—and just like that, the party truly began.
This is exactly why many consider live acts among the best wedding bands in Bristol; there’s nothing quite like the connection between a band and a packed dancefloor.
A Packed Dancefloor Until Late
Once the formalities were over, we launched into two high-energy sets packed with soul classics and funk favourites. The dancefloor stayed full all night, with guests of all ages joining in—from smooth moves to full-on party energy.
Between sets, we kept the vibe going with our DJ playlist, ensuring there was never a lull. Timing worked perfectly around the evening food, allowing guests to refuel without missing out on the action. By the final set, the energy somehow climbed even higher, with everyone determined to make the most of the night.
Being part of wedding music bands that deliver this kind of experience is what we love most—creating those unforgettable moments where no one wants the night to end. And while we’re used to travelling, it’s always a treat returning towards home, especially when passing icons like the Clifton Suspension Bridge (https://cliftonbridge.org.uk), a reminder of why wedding band hire Bristol is always close to our hearts. We worked along side fantastic suppliers including The French Kitchen and Specularvisuals.
From start to finish, this wedding was a perfect blend of style, personality, and non-stop celebration. Incredible suppliers, a stunning venue, and a dancefloor that never emptied—it’s exactly why we love what we do.
