At Agent Funk, nothing gets us more energised than gearing up for a celebration packed with soul, laughter and a full dance floor. This month, we’re thrilled to be performing for Rebecca and Ashley as they tie the knot in beautiful Bristol — a city that always shows us a good time. As a wedding band Bristol couples can rely on, we’re excited to deliver a night of funk and feel-good music for two wonderful people.

Their chosen venue, the atmospheric The Mount Without,  is one of Bristol’s most unique wedding spaces, with vaulted stone interiors and a handy loading ramp that makes our setup smooth and drama-free. And because no trip to the city feels complete without a bit of sightseeing, we’ll be tipping our hats to the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridgeas we roll into town.

We’re set to arrive at 6:30 pm to prepare for two full sets of live music: 8–9 pm and 10–11 pm. Guests can expect a seamless flow of energy, as we’ll also be providing our own playlist during the break — perfect for keeping the atmosphere lively and the dance floor warm.

Rebecca and Ashley chose a gorgeous first dance: “I’m in Love” by Wilson Pickett, a truly soulful classic that fits their day beautifully. They also asked about a short father–daughter version of “That’s How Strong My Love Is” by Otis Redding, a request filled with emotion. Even short renditions require full preparation, but we love the intention behind it and always appreciate the trust placed in us.

With music wrapped up by 11 pm, the evening promises to be a rich blend of celebration, soul and all the warm vibes that make wedding receptions unforgettable.

The daytime celebrations begin shortly after the ceremony, with music from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm — a perfect hour of relaxed acoustic sound to ease everyone into the evening. Whether our sax player is roaming freely or plugged into an amp, the goal is simple: set a laid-back, stylish tone for the afternoon.

The team at the venue has confirmed a safe outdoor power supply, and a suitable performance area will be ready for the daytime setup. With a vegan-friendly BBQ planned, all four of our plant-based band members will be very well fed — something we’re always grateful for when performing a full day and night.
