What a wedding venue! As a tip if you choose paintworks, there should be up to 40 free car parking spaces available at the venue.
Timings
The couple asked that the band arrives between 5.30pm and 6pm. At least an hour before the first dance and first live set.
Typically, we play 2 x 1 hr sets and suggested timings are 8 – 9 pm and 10 – 11pm. This is the ‘norm’ for a Bristol function band; Included in the price is a finish time of 12 midnight. On this occasion we were asked to perform the first set at 7-8pm and second set 9-10pm as they’d have some friends DJ’ing after this until midnight.
The couple chose to create and bring along their own playlist to play in between and after the live music. We ask that the MP3 player will need a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack input (we cannot accept iPhone lightning inputs for example – you will need to bring the adaptor). First Dance
As one of the top wedding music bands in Bristol Lucy and Daniel had chosen a first dance and wanted this to be played through our PA system rather than live by the band. It was At Last by Etta James. A great choice! You can see our current song list here.
Food & Drink
At this event there was evening food consisting of bacon and sausage baps/sandwiches including a veggie/vegan option. There will also be soft drinks available from the bar.
The couple didn’t choose a daytime performance for their wedding entertainment in Bristol.

‘We booked Agent Funk for our wedding last week about a year ago after reading such positive reviews on their website & we wanted something a bit different. Throughout the whole process Gavin was super responsive, helpful & happy to help & made the whole experience a really positive one. We decided to add on an extra set with the Sax Player joining for our cocktails & canapés which was a great hit with our guests. The band played 2x 1 hour sets (2030 – 2130 & 2230 – 2330) for our c.120 guests & the dance floor was completely full all night – they played a great mix of crowd pleasers, disco, funk, soul & some pop classics which appealed to all demographics no matter their music tastes & our guests all commented on how great the band were. The Band let us use their speaker set up to play our own playlist for the remainder of the night which also worked really well. Would highly recommend & thanks again to Agent Funk for playing for us & for getting the party going!’
